Lynne S. Dragomier retired from her professional career as Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing and executive team member at Mercy Medical Center, Canton, OH (now Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital). Prior to joining Mercy, she served in corporate communications leadership roles for both the former Maytag Corporation (Newton, IA) and The Hoover Company (North Canton, OH), a division of Maytag Corporation, for over 27 years. Her positions included Maytag Corp. Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Hoover Company Vice President of Administration. She was the first woman vice president at The Hoover Company. She previously served as Public Relations Director and Communications Manager at Hoover and had worked as an advertising copywriter and newspaper reporter before joining Hoover.
Lynne earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism/Public Relations from Kent State University, Kent, OH. She completed Master of Management coursework at Walsh University, North Canton, OH, and leadership development courses at the Center for Creative Leadership, Colorado Springs, CO, and the G.E. Training Institute. She is a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Louisville, OH.
Lynne’s current volunteer passions include: Co-lead of the Akron-Canton chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America; member of the Board of Directors of Access Health Stark County; Gun Violence Prevention lead of the Stark County Chapter of Pax Christi; member of Interfaith Violence Prevention Coalition of Stark County; Steering Committee member of Age Friendly Stark County; Canton YWCA Homeless Services Home Essentials Outreach project volunteer; Meals on Wheels of Stark County volunteer.
She is a proud founding member and former board member of Women’s Impact Inc. of Stark County.
