Book Club | Hood Feminism
Join us for a powerful and thought-provoking Women’s Impact Book Club discussion centered on Hood Feminism by Mikki Kendall.
In Hood Feminism, Kendall challenges mainstream feminism to confront the everyday realities faced by marginalized women—issues like food insecurity, access to quality education, healthcare, housing, and safety. With clarity, urgency, and honesty, she calls for a feminism that is truly inclusive, intersectional, and rooted in lived experience.
This book invites meaningful conversation, reflection, and growth. Together, we’ll explore what it means to expand our understanding of feminism, listen more deeply, and consider how we can show up as informed, compassionate leaders in our communities.
Come ready to share insights, ask questions, and engage in a respectful, impactful dialogue with fellow women who care about equity, justice, and real-world change.
The Women’s Impact book club meets the second Monday of each month from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Books are chosen, and discussions are facilitated by book club participants. Locations vary each month.
