Carri has an extensive career in education – particularly higher education. \n \nCarrilyn Stevens Long graduated from Sandy Valley High School (Class of 1974) before receiving a bachelor’s degree in family and human ecology and education from The Ohio State University.  She also earned a master’s degree in social service administration from Case Western Reserve University and doctorate degree of Education -Administration Leadership for Teaching and Learning from Walden University with dissertation topic: “Perceptions of African American College Students and Faculty of the First-Year Seminar Course and Retention”. \nRecently\, Carrilyn continued her career path at the YWCA Canton as the assistant director of Early Head Start program as well as member of the Strategic Enrollment Admissions team at the Ohio State University.  Also\, she is currently the President and CEO of CEL Education Consultants. Her motto is “Be a Leader that Others Follow” and has written curriculum and presented at numerous leadership conferences.
