Four members of Women’s Impact Inc. have been honored recently for their volunteer work and leadership that has had an incredible impact on the quality of life in our community.

The Junior League of Stark County Ohio, Inc. bestowed its Community Award upon Vicky Sterling and its President’s Award upon Barbara Fordyce, Ph.D.

The Canton YWCA inducted Gloria Pope and Kathy Catazaro-Perry into its Women’s Hall of Fame. Gloria was honored with the YWCA President’s Award, and Kathy earned her place in the Hall of Fame in the Community Service category.

While all four of these inspiring women have served as leaders and pioneers in many diverse community organizations – which were recognized during the ceremonies honoring them – each was noted for a particularly impactful area of contribution: Vicky for her long-time leadership of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival, currently serving as General Chair; Barbara for her leading advocacy for children and adolescents; Gloria for her leadership and dedication to the YWCA; and Kathy for her pioneering roles in public service and her co-founding of the Golden Key Center for Exceptional Children.

These remarkable women have not only devoted years of volunteer service in so many ways, they have also achieved outstanding professional success. Congratulations to Vicky, Barbara, Gloria and Kathy! You make Women’s Impact proud, inspiring us to excel and to make a difference in the lives of others.
